After this, the blissful Mashtots received fellowship,^{1cf. Galatians 2:9, κοινωνία} so that the Lord bishop^{2i.e., St Sahak} would sow the word of Life in Kayenk,^* and he in the heathen diaspora. And he bade them farewell with his holy and most sober^{32 Tim 4:5, νῆφε} helpers—the first of whom was Tirayr by name, from the district of Khordzean, and the second, named Mushe, from the province of Taron—along with other ministers of the good tidings, whose names we are unable^{4cf. Luke 12:26, δύνασθε} to designate. Then the blissful one committed to God’s grace^{5cf. Acts 14:26} and went down to the Goghtan district,^* to his former^{6see chapter 5} estate.^{7cf. Agath, 818, 841} There, following his usual custom, he applied the teaching with the devout Shabat,^{8cf. Agath, 828} filling the district with the peace^{9cf. John 20:19-26, εἰρήνῃ} of the good tidings of Christ.^{10cf. Agath 819} He arranged groups of holy monks in every village of the district. To whom—the vardapet^{11i.e., Mashtots}—Giwt came in the manner of his Christ-loving father, Shabat, and carried out great ministry as a son.
