Վասն քարաթոթոշի

Է եւ այլ ինչ երէ ի Նեղոս գետ ի շան կերպարան. եւ է թշնամի կոկորդիլոս գազանին. որ ոտիոն անուանի. որ թարգմանի քարաթոթոշ։ Զի յորժամ ննջէ կոկորդիլոսն, զբերանն ի բաց թողու. եւ իբրեւ ի գետէ շրջին եւ թաւալին ի տղմին տեղի. դիմէ ի բերան կոկորդիլոսին եւ զամենայն փորն զաղիսն ուտէ։

Hydrus

There exists another creature in the Nile River, which has the shape of a dog. It is an enemy of the crocodile beast, the otion, which translates "newt." Now when the crocodile sleeps, it does so with its mouth open. Swimming in the river, the hydrus will roll in the mud, and then enter the crocodile's mouth, where it eats all its stomach and intestines.
