But as many as accepted Him, to them He gave the power to become God’s children, to those having faith in His name: who were born not from blood, nor from the will of flesh, nor from the will of man, but of God.

ὅσοι δὲ ἔλαβον αὐτόν, ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς ἐξουσίαν τέκνα θεοῦ γενέσθαι, τοῖς πιστεύουσιν εἰς τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, οἳ οὐκ ἐξ αἱμάτων οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος σαρκὸς οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος ἀνδρὸς ἀλλ’ ἐκ θεοῦ ἐγεννήθησαν.

ósoi dé élavon aftón, édoken aftoís exousían tékna theoú genésthai, toís pistévousin eis tó ónoma aftoú, oí ouk ex aimáton oudé ek thelímatos sarkós oudé ek thelímatos andrós all’ ek theoú egenníthisan.

9. They were begotten of God.
10. They were begotten of (the) will of (the) flesh, and of (the) will of man.
11. He gave to him power to become a child of God.
12. In (the) beginning was the truth.
13. He came into the world, and the world was made through him, but the world received him not.
14. I believe in his name and know him.
15. The true light, coming into the world, lighteth every man.
