Prayer of Saint Ephrem

Today, Michael Bonner posted the Lenten Prayer of Saint Ephrem in Greek and English, and attempted a construal into the Latin of the Vulgate.

Here it is in Greek:

Κύριε καὶ Δέσποτα τῆς ζωῆς μου, πνεῦμα ἀργίας, περιεργίας, φιλαρχίας, καὶ ἀργολογίας μή μοι δῷς.

Πνεῦμα δὲ σωφροσύνης, ταπεινοφροσύνης, ὑπομονῆς, καὶ ἀγάπης χάρισαί μοι τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.

Ναί, Κύριε Βασιλεῦ, δώρησαι μοι τοῦ ὁρᾶν τὰ ἐμὰ πταίσματα, καὶ μὴ κατακρίνειν τὸν ἀδελφόν μου, ὅτι εὐλογητὸς εἶ, εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων. Ἀμήν.

And English:

O Lord and Master of my life: give me not a spirit of idleness, curiosity, ambition, and idle talking.

But bestow upon me thy servant a spirit of prudence, humility, patience, and love.

Yea, O Lord King: grant me to see mine own failings, and not to condemn my brother; for blessed art Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Though there are old Classical Armenian translations of Saint Ephrem's hymns, I could not find a translation of this prayer.

So, I offer this:

Տէր եւ Վարդապետ կենաց իմոց. հոգի դատարկ, հարցասէր, փառամոլ, եւ շատախաւս ինձ մի՛ տար։

Այլ տո՛ւր ինձ հոգի զգաստ, հեզ, երկայնամիտ, եւ սիրալիր. զի ես ծառայ քոյ եմ։

Տո՛ւր ինձ, Տէր թագաւոր, հայել յանցանս իմ եւ ո՛չ եղբայրս դատապարտել. զի աւրհնեալ ես դու այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն։
