Ցոյցք Առաքելական Քարոզութեան

ԻԶ.

 

Եւ յանապատին առնու զաւրէնսն յԱստուծոյ Մովսէս՝ զտասն զբանն ի տախտակս քարեղէնս՝ գրեալ մատամբ Աստուծոյ. եւ մատն Աստուծոյ է այն, որ ձգեալ է ի Հաւրէն ի Սուրբ Հոգին. եւ հրամանքն եւ իրաւունքն, զոր ընձեռեաց որդւոցն Իսրայելի պահել։ Եւ զխորանն վկայութեան կազմեաց հրամանաւ Աստումծոյ կազմս տեսեալս ի վերայ երկրի՝ այնոցիկ, որ ի յերկինս հոգեւորականքն են եւ անտեսանելիք, եւ տեսակս եկեղեցւոյ ձեւոյ, եւ զմարգարէութիւնս հանդերձելոցն, յորս եւ զանաւթսն եւ զսպանդարանսն եւ զտապանակն, յոր զտախտական էարկ։ Եւ կացոյց եւ քահանայս զԱհարոն եւ զորդիսն նորա՝ սոցա տոհմին ամենայնի զքահանայութիւնն տուեալ: Եւ էին ի զաւակէն Ղեւայ. այլ եւ զնոյն ինքն զբոլոր զտոհմն յառաջ կոչեաց բանիւ Աստուծոյ ի գործ պաշտաման տանել ի տաճարին Աստուծոյ, որոց եւ աւրէն ետ Ղեւտական՝ որպիսիս եւ զինչ աւրինակ գոլ պարտ եւ արժան է այնոցիկ, որ հանապազորդ սպաս պաշտաման պարապեալ են տանել տաճարի Աստուծոյ:

XXVI.

And Moses, receiving from God the laws—the ten words upon the tablets of stone, and the commandments and ordinances which he delivered to the children of Israel to keep—written by the finger of God, the finger of God being that which proceeds from the Father by the Holy Spirit. And the Tabernacle of Witness he formed by the command of God, as the visible form on earth of those spiritual and invisible things in heaven, and a prototype of the Church and the prophecies of things to come, in which were vessels, sacrificial altars and the ark [of the covenant] in which he placed the tablets. And he ordained as priests Aaron and his sons, giving the entire priesthood to their tribe (Exodus 28:1). And they were the descendants of Levi, the same tribe he assigned by the word of God to serve in the temple of God (1 Chronicles 6:48), and to whom he gave the Levitical law, as to the manner in which they ought to carry out their daily service in the temple of God.
