ՓափագեացՓափագիլ - to wish
երկին
խոնարհիլ խոնարհիլ - to humble oneself, to come down
,
իբրու զի իբրու զի - so that
ամենեցուն
ըղձալի իղձ - desire
է. սակայն երկեաւ անկանիլ ի փառաց. այլ լուսաւորք ճառագայթաձեւ զնա արարին։ Ուսուցանէ աւրինակս՝ համարձակութեամբ խոնարհիլ փառաւորաց. զի բնաւորեալն ընդ նոսա պատիւ՝ ոչ թողու անարգիլ։


The sky wanted to humble itself so that all would love it. However it was afraid of falling from grace. But the radiant bodies made it luminous. This example teaches that one should boldly humble oneself to the exalted, for becoming accustomed to their honor, one will not be left dishonored.
