Ցոյցք Առաքելական Քարոզութեան

ԻԹ.

Եւ կատարեալ զիւր զընթացն Մովսեսի, ասի յԱստուծոյ. Ել ի վեր ի լեառնդ եւ վախճանեցիր, զի ոչ մուծցես դու զժողովուրդ իմ յերկիրդ: Եւ նա ըստ բանին Տեառն վախճանեցաւ, եւ փոխանակեաց զնա Յիսուս որդի Նաւեա։ Սա հատանելով զՅորդանան անցոյց զժողովուրդն յերկիրն, եւ տապալելով եւ քակելով զի նմայքն բնակեալս զեւթն ազգն, բարժանեաց ժողովրդեանն աստի Երուսաղէմն, յորում թագաւորն Դաւիթ եւ Սողոմովն որդին նորա, որ շինեաց զտաճարն յանուն Աստուծոյ ըստ նմանութեան խորանին, որ ըստ գաղափարի երկնաւորացն եւ հոգեւորականացն եղեալ էր ի Մովսեսէ:

XXIX.

And when Moses had finished his course, it was said to him by God: “Go up to the mountain and die, for you shall not bring my people into the land” (Deuteronomy 32:49-50). And according to the word of the Lord, he died, and Jesus the son of Nun took his place. Dividing Jordan, he led the people into the land, and overthrowing and dissolving the seven races that lived there, he divided it among the people, and from here Jerusalem, where king David [lived], as well as his son Solomon, who built the Temple in God's name in the likeness of the tabernacle formed by Moses according to the pattern of heavenly and spiritual things [cf. Romans 8:5].
