Ցոյցք Առաքելական Քարոզութեան

ԻԸ.

Իբրեւ լցաւ քառասնամութիւնն, եկն ժողովուրդն մերձ ի Յորդանան եւ գումարեալ ճակատեցան յանդիման Երիքովի։ Աստանար գումարեալ զժողովուրդն Մովսեսի, վերստին գլխաւորէ զամենայն պատմելով մինչեւ յաւրն յայն զմեծամեծսն Աստուծոյ, յարդարելով եւ կազմելով զաճեցեալսն յանապատի, երկնչել յԱստուծոյ եւ պահել զպատուիրանսն նորա, իբր նորոգ իմն աւրէնսդրութիւն առնելով ի վերայ նոցա, յաւելլով յառաջին եղեալն: Եւ կոչեցաւ սա երկրորդ աւրէնք, յորում բազում՝ մարգարէութիւնք եւ յաղագս Տեառն մերոյ Յիսուսի Քրիստոսի, եւ յաղագս ժողովրդեանն, եւ յաղագս կոչմանն հեթանոսաց եւ յաղագս արքայութեանն ի ներքս գրեալք են։

XXVII.

When the forty years transpired, the people came near Jordan and gathered against Jericho. And here amassed the people of Moses, who related all the mighty works of God up until that day, fashioning and forming those who had grown up in the desert to fear God and keep His commandments, and setting a new law upon them, adding to that which came before. This was called the Second Law (Deuteronomy), which contains many prophecies about our Lord Jesus Christ, about the people, the calling of the Gentiles and the kingdom.
