Ցոյցք Առաքելական Քարոզութեան

Թ.

Իսկ աշխարհս եւթն պարունակի երկնաւք, յորս զաւրութիւնք եւ հրեշտակք եւ հրեշտակապետք բնակեն՝ սպաս պաշտաման տանելով ամենակալին եւ ամենեցունն հաստչի Աստուծոյ, ո՛չ իբրու կարաւտի, այլ զի եւ նոքա մի՛ իցեն անգործք եւ անշահք եւ ապիզարք: Եւ վասն այսորիկ Հոգին Աստուծոյ ներգոլով շատ է եւ յեւթն պաշտամանց ձեւս հաշուեալ լինի յԵսայեա մարգարէէ՝ հանգուցելոց յՈրդին Աստուծոյ, այսինքն է Բանն ըստ մարդն նորա գալստեանն. եւ քանզի «Հանգիցէ, ասէ, ի վերա նորա Հոգի Աստուծոյ՝ Հոգի իմաստութեան եւ իմացութեան, Հոգի խորհրդու եւ զաւրութեան եւ բարեպաշտութեան, լցուսցէ զնա Հոգի երկիւղի Աստուծոյ»։ 

 

Արդ, առաջինն ի վերուստ երկին, որ ներպարունակեն զայլս՝ իմաստութիւնն. եւ երկրորդ ի նմանէ՝ իմացութեանն. իսկ երրորդն՝ խորհրդոյ. եւ չորրորդն ի վերուստ ի հաշիւ անկելոյն՝ զաւրութեան. եւ հինգերորդն՝ գիտութեան, եւ վեցերորդն՝ բարեպաշտութեան, եւ եւթներորդս այս ըստ մեզս հաստատութիւնս՝ լի երկիւղի այսր հոգւոյս, լուաաորչիս զերկինս: 

 

Զի գաղափարն էառ Մովսէս աշտանակ եւթնոստեան՝ հանապազն փայլելով ի սուրբսն.քանզի գաղափար երկնից էառ զպաշտաւնն, ըստ որում՝ Բանն նմա ասէ. «Արասցես ըստ ամենայն գաղափարի որոց տեսերն ի լերինն»։

Now this world is encompassed by seven heavens, inhabited by powers, angels and archangels, who serve God the Almighty and the Maker of all; not as though out of necessity, but that they not be idle, useless and cursed. Therefore, the Spirit of God is multi-faceted, and seven forms of reverence were counted by the prophet Isaiah, reposing in the Son of God—that is to say, the Word—according to His coming as man; for “the Spirit of the Lord, shall rest upon Him,” he says, “the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel, might and piety, and fill him with fear of the Lord.” (Isaiah 11:2)

Now the first heaven from above, which contains the others, is wisdom; the second is that of discernment; the third is that of counsel, the fourth, counting from the top down, is that of might; the fifth, of knowledge; the sixth, of piety; and the seventh, this firmament of ours, is fearfulness of this spirit that illumines the heavens.

Thus did Moses receive the concept of the seven-pronged candlestick that is ever shining in the sanctuary (Exodus 25:31-39), for as a concept of the heavens he received this reverence, as the Word said to him: “And see to it that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” (Exodus 25:40)
